G.D. Goenka Moot Court Competition- Pre Invite

School of Law, G.D. Goenka University takes pride in announcing the organization of its Second Edition of G.D. Goenka Moot Court Competition from 3^rd-5^th March, 2017

The first edition of G.D. Goenka Moot Court Competition, has witnessed participation from students across the best law schools in the country and abroad.  It was a tough competition which had a total of 46 teams registered. The National Law University, Odisha was the winner and won a cash prize of Rupees One Lakh. Symbiosis Law College, Pune was the Runner- Up and won a cash award of Rupees 60,000. They also won the best memorial award in addition to a cash award of Rupees 20,000. Student representing Delhi University, Faculty of Law won the Best Student Advocate award and bagged a cash prize of Rupees 20,000. The Second edition of G.D. Goenka Moot Court Competition will shower similar prizes and benefits for the winners.

The first edition competition rounds were judged by a galaxy of eminent people including,  High Court judges, Supreme Court and High Court Advocates and Managing Partners, Associates of tier I Law Firms of the country like AZB Partners, Trilegal, BMR Legal, Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan, SREI Infrastructure (Kolkatta), Shardul Amarchand & Mangaldas, Khaita & Co., Zeus Law and others.

The rounds witnessed impeccable display of research skills, advocacy skills and an overall prowess of court room etiquette. We hope to witness the same vigor of competition and enthusiastic spirit of participation, this year as well. G.D. Goenka University extends an invitation for the event and hopes to receive a representation from your esteemed institution.
